Once again, WCNY has contacted Syracuse HOG and invited us to come and volunteer for their annual WCNY Travel Auction being held at their station in downtown Syracuse.
We will be working the Saturday evening shift on January 13, 2018, from 830pm-12am. They have set aside six spots for us, but there is plenty room for more.
We will be meeting at the station at 7pm for a free, catered dinner supplied by WCNY before heading to the phone bank.
Do not worry if you have not done this before, there is a short training session at 8pm.
Volunteering consists of working the phones by taking incoming bids and answering questions. There are also positions for runners, which entails going up and down a couple of stairs to deliver bids to the computer operators.
