On Friday, March 7, 2014 at 7:30 at the OnCenter War Memorial arena Syracuse’s own pro soccer team, the Silver Knights, are in a semi-final playoff game and headed to the league playoffs;
But they are playing for something much more important than a win.
The game is also a charity event for Arianna Failla, a 3 year old girl with tuberous Sclerosis, a disease which causes her to have multiple seizures on a daily basis.
The Silver Knights are donating $2.00 per ticket sale to the Failla family so they can purchase a specially trained seizure dog for Arianna. The cost for the dog is $20,000. The dog can sense when Arianna is going to have a seizure and warn her family and also be a support if Arianna starts to fall and prevent possible serious injury.
Tickets for the game are $17.50. If you don’t care for soccer and still want to help out there is a donation website: arianasangels.com
Our own Dick Davidson is planning on attending this event and hopes that other HOG members will join him in supporting this worthy cause. Give him a call at 315-439-3016 if you think you can join him.
