Hey there HOG members, it is time for some fun and food…..
BEAVER LAKE NATURE CENTER PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND MAPLE SYRUP DEMONSTRATIONS
Pancake breakfasts will be on Saturday March 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 from 9:00 until 12:00
1 pancake and 1 sausage = $3.00
2 pancakes and 2 sausage = $4.00
3 pancakes and 3 sausage = $5.00
Prices include 1 coffee or juice
After eating work off those calories by hiking down to the sugar bush area for maple sugaring demonstrations from 10:00 until 2:00.
Naturalists will be at each step to explain the sugaring process.
Back at the Nature center, there will be maple sugar products for sale as well as a bake sale.
Depending on the weather, you may be able to cross country ski, snowshoe or hike along any of the other trails at the nature center.
So plan on a day of food, education, exercise and fun.
I would like to get a group together on Saturday the 29th and meet at the nature center at 9:00. If enough people come, I can probably
get a reserved table so we can sit together. After we eat it’s time to go for a hike to learn about maple sugaring or just sit back, relax and
watch the birds from the atrium area.
Who knows, with the crazy weather we have been having, you might even be able to ride that day !!!
